Pet medications

Although animals can have similar diseases and same symptoms as humans, the treatments are definitely not exactly the same as usually animals are much smaller and respond to the treatments differently than humans do. Pet medications are developed specially for our little, usually four legged, friends. These medications are invented in the similar ways as the ones for humans starting with medical test in laboratories with infected cells and once some kind of a treatment is developed the test continue on infected animals. The pattern of the pet medication development is almost the same as it is for humans as that one also ends with real tests on patients.

Pet medications also come in different forms, starting from pills and powders to liquid creams. The form depends on the particular animal type the medicine is made for as not all of them are suitable for all animals. Pet medications usually have less medical substances in them expect if they are designed for larger animals, like cow, horses and so. In those cases the dose of the medicine is many times larger as otherwise there will be no effect on the animal at all as their body mass is just so large.
