What is veterinary virology or veterinary microbiology and what does it involve?

I am interested in majoring in this field and I would like to know more information about it to help me decide what to major in.

1vet. viro and micro are just virology and microbiology that concentrate on pathogens that affect animals. There is not alot of difference between human and vet viro and micro. Many of the courses in the major will be the same. Some biochemistry, genetics, bacteriology ect.
