kitten that can't go potty



good morning. i have 4 four week old kittens. one of them seems to be having touble going to the bathroom. i have watched her go to the litter pan twice now, and nothing has come out. what can i do for her?
i appreciate your quick response to this as i am very worried. thankyou.

thanks for all the answers. i think she was just getting acclamaited to eating kitten food. she is fine now. by the way, she is now 3 months old, and i sitll have she and her sister if anyone is interested. thanks again.

you may need to stimulate the anal and genital areas with a cotton ball soaked in warm water, especially if they are orphans. this mimics the licking a queen would do to her kittens. a heavy infestation of intestinal worms can also cause life-threatening constipation. you may want to see a vet if the above does not work.
