our sweet cockateil has had her big toe cut off near the nail

she got inside the reclinder mechanism and hubby didn't know it and put the foot rest down. there's hardly any bleeding but she wont put any weight on it of course. does she need antibiotics or to be seen by a vet? if so, how do i safely transport her to the vet giving her as little discomfort as possible? we have only one very large cage... any advice is greatly appreciated.
